Reba Paulette Willard Thomas, affectionately known at Polly or Meme, passed away on June 9, 2024 at the age of 77.
Polly was born on October 14, 1946 in Mobile, AL to Himon and Mary Celess Willard.
Polly was a long-standing member of Day Spring Baptist Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, Jesus, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. She was one of the Lord's most generous souls who will be deeply missed. She will always be remembered by all the lives she touched over the years as "Mama", "Meme", "Polly", or that redheaded "Reba" or "Paulette". If anyone was in need, she was there no matter what!
Polly is preceded in death by her parents, Himon Jesse Willard, Sr, and Mary Celess Dixon Willard; brother and sister, Himon Jesse Willard, Jr. and Gloria Jean Sutton.
She is survived by her children, Darren (Sherrie) Carter; Yvie (Michael) Holloway; Cyndi (Brandi) Thomas; siblings, Diane Umbarger, Darrell (Karen) Willard; Melba (Gary) Rehm; Nancy Emrich; grandchildren, Dustin(Kayla) Herrington, Jonah Thomas-Morris, Eythan(Sierra)Carter, Taylor(Seth) Graham, Tyler(Carley) Carter, Alex Gossett, Tabbitha Thomas, Bailey Moseley, and Chance Morris; great-grandchildren, Bentlee, Daniel, Raelyn, Lucas, Liam, and Addi; along with countless precious nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Michael Holloway, Chad Umbarger, Paul-Allen Emrich, Eythan Carter, Tyler Carter, and Alex Gosset.

Polly's family will honor her memory with a funeral service on Monday June 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Deacon Arthur Reynolds officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday June 17 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
