Jimmy Ray Clackler, Sr age 84, passed away on June 12, 2024. He was born and raised in Clanton, Alabama but was a long-time resident of Theodore, Alabama. He enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 and served as an ammunition specialist. During his time in the Army, he was stationed in Korea after the Korean War. Jimmy Ray worked for CSX Railroad for 40 years where he retired as the Telecommunications Manager in the year 2000. He served his community by coaching football and baseball at TAA ballpark for many years and was a long-time community member of the TAA ballpark. He loved to play golf, watch Alabama Football, as well as Saturday night car racing at Mobile International Speedway. Jimmy Ray also loved fishing and hunting and the fellowship at his hunting camp and as well as spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother Earleen Coggins Clackler and father James Hopkins Clackler. He was also preceded in death by his sister Eloise Clackler Henderson, (Ben), Brother Douglas Clackler, (Glenda).
He is survived by his lovely wife Carol Clackler of 60 wonderful years; children, Steven Ray Clackler, Gina Clackler Levens & Jimmy Ray Clackler, Jr (Jackie); sisters, Mable Jean Clackler Odom (Joe) and Donna Clackler Baker (Bobby); grandchildren, Tonya Clackler Johnston, Emily Danielle Clackler, Ashley Ann Levens, Amanda Levens Lambert, Raeleigh Grace Clackler & Bryce Ory Clackler; great-grandkids, Kylie Johnston, Kennedy Johnston, Corbin Brown, Colten Brown, Addison Roszkowski, Asa Lambert & Eli Lambert.

Jimmy Ray's family will honor his memory with a funeral service held on Tuesday June 18, 2024, at 12:00pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. His family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am.
