Robert (Bob) Frazier Ledet passed away October 30 surrounded by loving family. Born in Mobile, Alabama he was the son of the late Adam Franklin and Lillian Essie Johnston Ledet. Bob was very proud of his “cajun” heritage. He graduated from Murphy High School in 1952 and from Auburn University (API) with a BS in Chemical Engineering in 1957. An ROTC graduate, he went to New Jersey with the Army Signal Corp for six months active duty followed by several years in the National Guard before his job was declared a critical civilian occupation and he was discharged.
Bob married Jacquelyn (Fort) Ledet in 1957 and they had two sons. He began a long career of increasing responsibility with International Paper Company and spent time in Mobile, AL, Camden AR, and in the corporate office in New York City. He resigned from IP in 1979 and went to work for a supplier to the paper industry, Huyck Corp, in Raleigh, NC in 1982. He then went to work for Ascoe Felt Company in Clinton, SC (Asten Press Fabric) and retired from the corporate office in Charleston, SC in 1996. Bob spent his retirement years in Greenwood, SC enjoying life on Clarks Hill Lake and playing golf with his foursome “The Four Stooges”.
He was a longtime member of the Greenwood Country Club, Golden Kiwanis Club, and the First Baptist Church where he was an active member of the Carpenter Class and the NGO class. Bob followed his beloved Auburn Tigers as well as the Atlanta Braves baseball.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are two sons, Robert Keith Ledet (Leigh) and Kevin Duncan Ledet (Debbie). Grandchildren – Adam Brett Ledet, Emily Vaughn Warren (Winford) and Emma Grace “Gracie” Ledet, brother-in-law Andy Fort (Tijuana) in Grand Bay, AL, three special cousins Robert Newcomer of Germantown, TN, Ronnie Moore of Warner Robbins, GA, Gayle Ledet Hebert of Maurice, LA, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Blyth Funeral Home in Greenwood, SC on Saturday, November 2, at 10:00am. Graveside service will be at Memorial Gardens in Mobile, AL on Tuesday, November 5.

Family will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home following the service. Blyth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
