Betty Jean Beasley Poole went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2024, in Mobile Alabama. She was 90 years old. Betty was a native of Crenshaw County, Alabama, where she was born in Luverne, Alabama in 1934. Betty worked as a telephone operator in Luverne after graduating high school. After moving to Mobile, Alabama to live with her sister, Marie Beasley Blackmon, she met and married Carl Edward Poole of Mobile in 1956. Betty loved and served her family faithfully for 68 years. She loved and served her Lord for most all of her life as she shared that her faith in Him began as a child. She was a long time member of Georgetown Baptist Church in Chunchula, Alabama. After moving to Tanner Williams, Alabama in 1982, Betty became a member of Trinity Baptist Church (Westlake Church) where she faithfully served for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Poole, parents, Sydney Eugene Beasley and Carrie Belle Price Beasley, along with eight siblings. She is survived by her son, Steven Anthony Poole (Gina), daughter, Linda Dianne Poole Hembree (Don), five grandchildren, Jennifer Osburn, Abbigail Prichard (Justin), Joshua Hembree (Kala), Emily Hembree (Matthew), Jacob Hembree (Lauryn), nine great grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Austin, Jessica, Eva, Charlotte, Brenton, Ruth, Charlie and one great great grandchild, Christopher.
A celebration service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 with visitation at 11AM and service at 12 PM in the chapel. Graveside service and interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery 6100 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Alabama 36619.
