Hughy Leo Broadus
December 12, 1988 - December 1, 2024
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved family member, Hughy Leo Broadus. Leo was born on December 12, 1988 in Mobile, Alabama and passed away peacefully at his home on December 1, 2024. He was 35 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hughy Wayne Broadus, Sam and Mary Taylor. His grandparents, Leo and Berdie Broadus.
He is survived by his sister Sonya Broadus, and his brother Jeff Broadus (Ann). His nephew Daniel Broadus, and his niece Hailey Broadus Waters (Lantz).
He is also survived by one very special cousin, Frances Bunkley (Rick), who was more like a sister to him. She provided unselfish loving support and care for more than twenty-four years after the passing of his parents.
Leo was survived by many family and friends whom he touched in a positive way. Brandon Adams, Layla McKay, Shelby Broadus, Ken Herren, Drew Underwood, John Ayer, and many others.
Leo attended Corpus Christi Catholic School and graduated from Baker High School, where he was a member of the Hornet Hooligan's, He was manager of Baker High School Baseball. He was also a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a member of Team Focus who supported him for many years.
Leo suffered tremendous pain throughout his life, yet through that pain he brought so much joy unselfishly to others. We will miss him terribly.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 5,2024 at 12 pm in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am to 12pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
