It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the sudden passing of our dearest Michael Harris, 73, on February 23rd, 2025. He was a native of Bogalusa, LA., and a resident of Mobile, AL. for most of his life.
Michael was a graduate of Murphy High School (Class of '69), then went on to get a degree in Industrial Electricity. He loved God, fishing, history, and spending time with his family. To know him, was to love him, as he never met a stranger, except for his strange children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Paul Harris and Polly Ruth Harris, his brother, Ronald Wayne Harris, and his sisters, Diana Jean Harris and Rebecca Ann Martin, and niece Janice Lynn Potter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mitzi Louise (Townsend) Harris, his son, Michael Harris, Jr. (wife Kristin Lynn Hlavinka-Harris), his daughter, Caitlin Louise Harris, sisters Joan Paulette Daniels (husband James Clifton Daniels) and Jacqueline Delores Harris, brothers David Henry Harris and Henry Joseph Harris, his granddaughter Cheyenne Rayne Wright, many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and honorary sons, Steven Gregg Henley and Terry Ray Carmoney.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with the wake being held Friday, February 28th, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm; and funeral services being held on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at 12 noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
