Alvis Edward Cline, age 93, resident of Mobile, was born on August 26th, 1931 , in Ethel, West Virginia, and passed on April 29th, 2025. Alvis served in the U.S. Army. Upon completion he went to Chicago using his G.I. bill to become a mechanical engineer. This is where he met the love of his life, Barbara. After retiring, he enjoyed his home on Dog River where he fished and worked in his woodworking shop making anything he put his mind to, which included toys for his four grandchildren that he cherished.
Alvis is preceded in death by; his father, Milton Cline; his mother, Vestie Reese Cline; and his brother, Bobby Cline.
He is survived by; his loving wife, Barbara of Mobile; his daughters, Debra (Roger) of Bradenton, Florida, and Sandy of Mobile; his grandchildren, Brad (Sarah), Brittney (Ryan), Baylee (Will), and Raven; his great-grandchildren, Brady Porter, Lillie Kate Porter, Bennet Aiyer, and Emerson Aiyer.
Pallbearers: Brad Porter, Brady Porter, Ryan Aiyer, Will Mayrose, Hugh White, and Bob Huett.

Graveside Service Monday, May 5, 2025 10:00 - 10:30 am Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Interment will take place in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery 6100 Three Notch Rd. Mobile, AL 36619.
