Gloria Jackson Williams - Mobile Memorial Gardens

Gloria Jackson Williams

January 18, 1941 – May 25, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria “Faye” Jackson Williams, who left this world peacefully on May 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Gloria was the heart of our family — a woman of deep kindness, quiet strength, and unconditional love. Her warmth filled every room, and her laughter made even the hardest days feel lighter. Whether through her home-cooked meals, comforting hugs, or thoughtful advice, she had a special way of making people feel truly seen and loved. Born on January 18th, 1941, Gloria devoted her life to her family. She found joy in simple pleasures — a good cup of coffee, stories around the table, and every moment spent with those she cherished most. She worked for BellSouth/AT&T for over 40 years. She was the first female to serve as President of Communications Workers of America, Local 3907. More than anything, Gloria was a woman of unwavering faith. Her well-worn Bible, heartfelt prayers, and steady trust in God guided her life. Her legacy endures in the values she passed down, the traditions she began, and the love she gave so generously. Gloria is survived by her daughter Tammy W. Ernest, husband (Charles J. Ernest Jr), two grandchildren - Charles J Ernest III (Shelbey) and Madison Ernest, three great grandchildren Charlie, Carson, and Collins, who will carry her memory and faith forward. Though we mourn her loss, we are comforted knowing she is at peace, reunited with her beloved and those who went before her — and that she has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
