Robert Harold Clements, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL passed away on July 9, 2025. Bob was born on August 3, 1944. He was a 1962 graduate of McGill Institute and a 1967 graduate of Spring Hill College. Bob was commissioned in the U.S. Army on May 15, 1967, and assigned to the Air Defense Branch. In 1968 he served as platoon leader at the Homestead AFB, FL. In 1969 he was stationed in Korea where he served as Battery Commander. He returned to Mobile after his military service and worked at a local accounting firm until he opened his own practice in February 1974. He retired from public practice on July 31, 2017. Bob loved spending time with his family, scuba diving, fishing, hunting, sailing, traveling, reading, and woodworking. Bob was truly a “jack of all trades.” He took pleasure in using his creative talents to make things for his family and friends. Bob also had a Commercial Instrument Pilot License. He was a long-time member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he served as Eucharistic Minister, gift bearer, and usher. He was knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, a member of the St. Pius X Knights of Columbus Council 13085, the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Assembly 2024, and the American Legion Post 0250. Bob was also a member of the Raphael Semmes Camp 11 of the Sons of the Confederate Members and the Crewe of Columbus. His professional organizations included the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Alabama State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Mobile Chapter of Certified Public Accountants. Bob’s memory will go on through the lives he has touched. We will always keep him close to us in our hearts. We love you, Papa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Etta Clements; and one sister, Mary C. Powell. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy M. Clements; two daughters, Melanie (Mike) Martin and Michelle (Tony) Cowan; Four grandchildren, Patrick Martin, Sean Martin, Paul Cowan, and Jude Cowan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, July 17, 2025 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Mobile. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass following. Internment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum.
