Larry Walter Patterson, age 60, affectionately known by his family as "Der," passed away on September 10, 2025. He was a life-long native of Saraland, Alabama. Larry was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jerry and Melba Patterson. He is survived by his sister, Ladye (Alan) Alford; his nephew, Preston (Melanie) Alford; his niece, Morgan Alford (Corey Smith); along with many cousins and dear friends who will cherish his memory. Larry was a devoted fan of Alabama football, with a well-known pride for his team. Larry's sense of humor, humility, and loyalty will be deeply missed but remembered forever.

A graveside service will be held in his memory on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, Alabama. Those attending the graveside service may meet at 9:30 a.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. In honor of Larry's love of Alabama football, attendees are kindly asked to wear Alabama attire or Alabama colors.
