Sandra Flowers Gilbert, age 88, passed away in the comfort of her home on October 22, 2025. She was a charter member of Kingswood United Methodist Church where she worshiped her Lord and Savior. Mrs. Gilbert will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred C. Gilbert, Sr., parents, Marvin J. and Eloise K. Flowers, and her sister, Gerri P. Scoggins (James). She is survived by her daughters, Pamela E. Gilbert and Donna Y. Gilbert; son, Alfred C. Gilbert, Jr.; niece, Jennifer S. Maness, Ed.D. (Lance); great-nieces, Zoey L. Maness and Madalynn P. Maness; great-nephew, RexStan J. Maness; other relatives and many friends. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff and caregivers of Saads Hospice, Home Instead, and The Wound Center at Mobile Infirmary for their committed and compassionate care.

A 10:00 a.m. graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. All attending should meet in the parking lot between the funeral home and cemetery at 9:45 a.m. to line up for the procession.
