LCDR Bradas "Straw" L Simmons CHC, USNR age 95, resident of Daphne, AL. Was born on December 9, 1929, and passed on November 10, 2025. Brad was a graduate of Clarke College, Howard College, Florida State University and New Orleans Baptist Theology Seminary. He earned a Masters in Theology and became a Chaplin in the United States Navy. He loved what he did in service of his country and most of all service of Jesus Christ. Brad was able to save souls on the front lines and in the Church. Brad loved his entire blended family with all his heart, who will all miss him dearly. Brad is preceded in death by; Jane Simmons, Ethel Simmons, Cynthia Simmons Bogert, Daniel Johnson and Keith Johnson. He is survived by; his sons, Brad Simmons Jr, Mark (Ashley) Simmons, Paul (Tanya) Simmons, Bill (Debbie) Johnson, Richard Johnson, Ron (Betty) Johnson and daughter Renee' (Skip) Stevens. Brad's funeral service will be held on November 18th 2025 at 12:00 P.M.; at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to graveside service at 11:00 A.M.
