Mary Christine Smith passed away in Mobile, AL on November 14, 2025. She was born in Dothan, AL and raised there until almost fourteen when she married Cleveland O. Smith and they moved to Theodore, AL where she lived for 83 years. Her and Cleveland were married for 62 years. They owned Twin Pines Nursery. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, grandson, and siblings. She was loving, kind, caring and hardworking, a tribute to all who knew her. A member of Hollinger's Island Baptist Church. The glue that holds a family together. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by her children, Gary O. Smith Sr. (Cindy), and Janis R. Story (Robert); 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, November 20, 2025, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. funeral service. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving pallbearers are: Parish Westbrook, Daniel Smith, Jeremy Williams, Jonathan Williams, Daniel Williams, Nicholas Blain, Dakota Scott, and Michael Story.
