Betty Jean Reed, age 79, passed away peacefully her residence on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin Tarver, Jr. and Dora Amanda Long Tarver, Betty was the owner of a tax consulting and real estate business.
She is survived by her son, David Robinson, and his wife Stephanie O'Dell-Robinson of Lakeville, MN; three daughters, Michelle Smith of Mobile, AL, Amanda Warner and her husband, Robert Warner, of Knoxville, TN, and Debbra Robinson and her husband, Michael Claussen of Mobile, AL. She also leaves behind her sister, Patricia Ann Vickery of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stan Reed; a brother, John William Tarver; and a sister, Patty Jo Sulzer.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, at 10:00 am in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends Monday, December 29, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
