Vonnie Louise Stapleton, age 83, passed away in Mobile, AL on December 23, 2025. She was born to John E. Bailey and Celia Yawn Bailey on April 16, 1942.
Ms. Stapleton taught at the First Baptist Church Spanish Fort daycare for 30 years. She loved spending time with the children, especially the newborn babies. She enjoyed traveling and singing in the Manner Baptist Church Choir. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ortho E. Taylor and William H, Stapleton; her daughter, Sharon Joubert; grandson, Sam; siblings; Thomas Bailey, Doug Bailey, Bonnie Stokley, Max Bailey, and Audrey Bailey.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Greg (Amy) Taylor, and Jonathan (Katherine) Taylor, Sr.; stepdaughter's, Lisa (Kenneth) Haight and Carmen (Robert) Finaly; grandchildren, Christy, Jonathan Jr., Kelsi, Heather, Danaca, Kimberlyn, Seianna and Summer; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Barlow and Diana Patnaude; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
