Kenneth Wayne Reed, age 62, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on December 28, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. Kenny was born on October 27, 1963 in Mobile, Alabama to Benjamin Franklin and Barbara Lucille Reed. He spent his life working, raising a family, serving others and enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid softball player in his younger years, winning many awards. Later in life he turned his attention to hunting and fishing. Kenny was known for his kindness, humor, strength, resilience, and work ethic. He loved spending time with his loved ones and especially enjoyed making memories with his growing family. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Barbara Reed, as well as his loving sister Diane Lane. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kerri Elizabeth Ellzey (Justin); brother, Bennie Reed (Melissa); sister, Glenda Reed; nephew, Scott Lane (Charity); granddaughter, Bella Claire Ellzey; great nephew, Owen Reed Lane; great niece, Addie Rose Lane. Pallbearers will be: Daniel Clark, Justin Ellzey, Jackson Mixon, Renald Battiste, Keith Logan, and Maurice Morrissette. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dennis Clark, Johnny Allen Reed, David James Twilley, Jeff Arnold, Tony Mayo, David Lewis, Garland Presley, Mark Gatlin, Kevin Saucier, Joe Thames, Rick Wallace, Danny Havard, Kenny Pitts, Ed Cooper, Cody Crumbley, Mac McPherson, Chris Carter, and Robert Lee.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 10am with Terry Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 9am until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
