Betty R. McLaney, 83 years of age, of Saraland AL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday April 28, 2026. Betty R. McLaney was born on December 19, 1942, to Joseph Rogers and Gladys Rogers. She was a graduate of Murphy High School class of 1962. She married the love of her life Dale McLaney on June 14, 1962, and celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2012. She was a long-time employee of Sears Tele catalog and American Greetings. She was also a very talented crocheter, ceramic crafting, and oil painter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gladys Rogers, her brother Charles Rogers, and her husband, Calvin Dale McLaney. She is survived by her only son, Jason S McLaney (Melissa), her sister Carolyn Atchison, her grandson Jacob McLaney, her granddaughters Kristen McLaney and Brittane Jimenez, great grandsons, Joseph McLaney and Eli Jimenez, great-granddaughter Amelia Jimenez, and many nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mitch McLaney, Mike McLaney, Trent Vandevender, Cody Perkins, Zach Early, honorary pallbearer Rob Stephenson. The family of Betty McLaney would like to give our sincere thanks to her devoted niece Jamie Perkins, her sister Carolyn Atchison and her brother and sister in-law Thomas and Phyllis McLaney for helping us with all of the arrangements. Also, would like to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for going above and beyond taking wonderful care of her during her final months on this earth.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571, on May 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Committal Service will take place at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619.
