Joanne Stewart Slater, 93, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on May 4, 2026 surrounded by family. Joanne was preceded by her husband of 56 years, Donald P. Slater along with her son, Leigh Slater, grandson, Slater Jones and granddaughter Margaret Rodgers. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Slater (Susan), Glenn Slater (Eve) and her daughter, Molly Slater Jones (Mike). She is also survived by grandchildren, Kristin Laborde (Steven), Stewart Slater (Rebecca), Don Slater (Sheena), Tiffany Nelson (Jeff), Lance Slater (Ann), John Jones and Max Jones. She also leaves behind thirteen great-grandchildren. Joanne's memory will forever be cherished by all that knew her for her unwavering kind spirit and love for her family and friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 pm until service time Friday at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
