Mamie was born on March 11, 1934. She was a native of Mobile, Alabama, for 92 years. She fell asleep in death on May 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of many years, Jimmie Alton Moody, her son, Michael Todd, her mother, father, brothers, and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Lind (Cecil) Maxwell; her 2 sons, Alton (Laura) Moody and Michael (Marilyn) Moody; her daughter, Melissa Todd; one brother; 2 sisters; 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mamie, known as mother to her children, Grandma to her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her simple way of life, her outspokenness, her willingness to help others, and her desire to save money. She loved the outdoors, flowers, gardening, and her Fruit trees (which she shared with everyone). Her house, as her grandchildren would say, smells like grandma, and they will all tell you they never want to forget that smell; they will always remember it as love. She loved her family, but she especially loved her great-grandchildren. She would light up when they were around and often acted like a child with them. This precious woman left us on May 13, 2026. She will be remembered with a smile but sadly missed. So, grandma, it’s time to rest now in God's loving care. John 5:28, 29 “The hour is coming in which all that are in the grave will hear his voice and come out.” Until we meet again, you will be missed. You are loved. Rest in peace.
