Alice Marie Aplin, age 88, passed away November 22, 2024.
Marie was born to James Edward and Myrtie Lucille Lassiter on October 16, 1936 in Bashi, AL. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great - grandmother and friend who's caring and giving spirit touched all those she came in contact with. Marie was a devoted servant of the Lord, willing to give her all to everyone. She was a lifelong member of Forest Hill Church of God. She will be forever remembered, loved, and cherished.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband William "Bill" Earnest Aplin; parents James Edward "J.E." and Myrtie Lucille Lassiter; sister Mattie Elizabeth "Beth" Kelley.
She is survived by her three devoted daughters Sharon Aplin, Sheila Kelley (Aaron), Ella Atkins (Alan); 3 grandchildren Josh Atkins (Sara), Callie Kelley, Emily Atkins; 2 great grandchildren Sophie and Charlotte; sibling Lois Shaw, John Lassiter (Barbara); best friend Linda Little.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their excellent care they have provided over the past two years, especially Natalie and Nina.
To honor the life of Alice Marie Aplin, a visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at 11am followed by funeral service at 12pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 6040 Three Notch Rd Mobile, AL 36619.
