Alma Louise McCormick, 93 of Mobile, AL, Passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025.
Alma was born on September 2, 1931 in Wallkill, NY to parents Charles and Anna Belle Brown.
Upon graduating high school in 1949, She enlisted with The Women's Army Corps. There she made rank of Sargent before being honorably discharged in 1953.
She also married her husband, James Arthur McCormick in 1953, settled in Mobile and started a family. During this time she worked as a file clerk for the Mobile
County Food Stamp office until retiring in the 90's.
Alma was very passionate about gardening, sewing, leatherwork, crocheting and embroidery. She was extremely talented in these areas and put a lot of pride into her work.
She is survived by her Daughter; Sheryl Stokes, her Granddaughter; Terri Brunson (Adam Brunson). Grandson; Robert Worley (April Worley), Grandson; Glenn Worley Jr (Toni Worley) and 9 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, husband and son.

Visitation will be held on March 18, 2025 from 11 AM until Noon at: Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 6040 Three Notch Rd. Mobile, AL 36619 Services will begin in the chapel promptly at Noon followed by a brief graveside word.
