Anthony Wallace Battaglia, loving husband, father, and grandfather, was called to heaven January 12, 2022, at his home in Mobile, Al. A resident of Mobile since 1978, he retired as a Mechanical Engineer P.E. from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was born on April 2, 1936, the only child of Henry and Annie Battaglia in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was an officer in the U.S. Army at White Sands Missile Range. Anthony is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maria Elena, six children (Anna Salazar, Henry Battaglia, Sofia Salazar, Sylvia Vollmer, Veronica Battaglia, Cecilia Akin), 19 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Viewing will be Friday, 11:00am at Little Flower Catholic Church with 1:00pm Mass of Christian Burial and interment at Mobile Memorial Gardens immediately after. Arrangements are by Ascension Funeral Home, 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695.
