Antonio Thomas Scott, son of Ludie Marie Kirk and Grover Thomas Scott, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020. He was born on Monday, June 16, 1997, in Waukegan, Illinois, and was the fourth child of five siblings (Thomas Scott, Jasmine Williams, Michael Scott, and Antwon Scott). Antonio graduated from Baker High School in Mobile, Alabama. He then attended Marion Military Institute, Troy University and University of South Alabama. Antonio grew up in a military family and with encouragement from his family and his strong desire to serve his country, he joined the military full time in the Alabama Army National Guard. He was stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas, before being stationed with the 51st Military Police Detachment in Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington. Throughout his military career, Antonio was awarded several medals and accommodations including, one Army Commendation Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, one Army Good Conduct Medal, one National Defense Service Medal, one Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and one Army Service Ribbon. Antonio was very adventurous and loved the outdoors. He loved hanging out with his family and friends. Antonio leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Ludie Kirk and husband, David of Mobile, Alabama; his father, Grover Scott and wife, Stacey of Destin, Florida; siblings, Thomas Scott of Richmond, Virginia; Jasmine Scott of Mobile, Alabama; Michael Scott of Mobile, Alabama, and Antwon Scott of Mobile, Alabama; grandparents: Albert Sutton, Jr. and wife, Elaine of Memphis, Tennessee and Leslie Sutton of Fort Worth, Texas; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Antonio was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobby Scott and Patrick Scott; and great grandparents, Albert W. Sutton, Sr. and Ludie Sutton and Esley Dennis and Lillie Dennis. Pallbearers will be Daniel Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Michael Scott, Antwon Scott, Thomas Scott, Stephen Rauzi, and Brandon Salas. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2020, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow with military honors at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A chapel service will be held at 10AM on Saturday, 09/05/2020 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
