Rosa Bai Nguyen, age 107, passed away peacefully at 2:00pm on Friday, September 27, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 5, 1917 in Phat Diem, Vietnam. She had five children (two daughters died at age 5 and 2) and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She committed her life to the devotion of the Devine Mercy and of Our Lady of Lavang. She also reads the Bible, the lives of the Saints, and listens to the homilies from Bishop Kham on the cassette tapes everyday through out her life. She will be remembered as a devout Catholic.
Rosa Bai is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her sisters, her husband and her two daughters. She is survived by her two sons: Luan Nguyen of Dothan, AL: Chuong Nguyen of Mobile, AL: and daughter, Nhan (Nancy) Nguyen of Mobile, AL. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Her legacy will live on through each one of them.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4th, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Prayer service will begin at 6:30pm.
A Catholic Burial Mass will be at 10:00am Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Our Savior Catholic Church, 1801 Cody Road S., Mobile, Alabama.
The graveside service will be held right after Mass at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
