Barbara Justice Conner was called home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2026. She was born on August 28, 1934, in Clay County, AL. Mrs. Conner was a resident of Creola, AL, but has been living at Alden Pointe Assisted Living in Hattiesburg, MS, to be closer to her children. Mrs. Conner loved the Lord and was a precious person who never met a stranger and loved to make people smile. In her earlier life, she was a dietitian while raising her two children. Later, she had another child with special needs, and she took care of her at home for 32 years. She was a longtime member of Creola First Baptist Church. Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by her father, Elton Strong; her mother, Gladys Strong Scrimpshire, brother, Elmer Strong; her husband, Q.P. Justice; her husband, Robert H. Conner; and her daughter, Steacile Ann Justice. Survived by son Glen Bailey (Vicki), daughter Glenda Bailey, grandsons Adam Bailey (Kate) and Kyle Bailey, and great-grandsons Nolan Bailey and Marshall Bailey, all from Hattiesburg, MS; special niece Mary Weaver (Joey); aunt Robbie Neal Cooper of Pavo, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. We want to thank Alden Pointe Assistant Living for caring for her for the past 9 1/2 years. Special thanks to her main caretakers: Elbany, Shirley, Jessie, Kayla, and so many other loving caregivers. Thanks to the nurses and all the support staff who oversaw her care. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Creola Baptist Church Building Fund.
