Barbara Hoppe, 73, of Mobile, AL, passed away Saturday. She was born in Owensboro, KY to Harold and Virginiar Coomes. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1965. She married her husband, Philip D. Hoppe, in 1970 and they built a loving family together. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Philip D. Hoppe; her mother, Virginia Coomes and her sister, Martha Brown. Her survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Ruhberg of Dallas, TX; son, William Hoppe of Mobile, AL; three grandchildren, Kasee, Patrick and Madison; her loving father, Harold Coomes, Sr.; her brother, Harold Coomes, Jr.; beloved sister, Karen Crossley of Montgomery, AL; other relatives and friends. She was a devoted mother, sister and daughter. Her family and friends were truly blessed to have had her in their lives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 2pm from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be from1pm until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
