Betty Jean Jernigan, age 72, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Betty was born July 31, 1948. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward E. and Christine Hughes Peters. She worked in the Mobile area as a beautician for many years. She was a longtime member of Sage Avenue Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed her special time with her cousins and her time spent doing her art work, she loved to draw. She will be missed by many. Betty is survived by her loving cousins, Cheri Bell, Carl Peters and Marie Welch. She is also survived by her very special and longtime friend, Debby Echols Turner. Graveside services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Monday, December 7, 2020 beginning at 10:00 a.m .
