Betty Ann McPherson Strong, 71, a native of Laurel, MS and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Friday, October 2, 2020. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Betty was a retired teacher and taught at O’Rourke Elementary until her retirement in 1999. She attended Day Spring Baptist Church and enjoyed the beach and camping and traveling with her husband, Sarge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph “Sarge” Strong, III; her parents, James A. McPherson and Pauline Barnett McPherson; her brother, David McPherson, and her niece, Michelle Henderson. Her survivors include numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

A chapel service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, 10/13/2020 from Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
