Beverly Ann McClinton Dozier — an 88-year-old native and resident of Mobile, AL passed away at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, AL on Saturday, June 6, 2020. Mrs. Dozier was a very private person. She loved to sew and she was an excellent seamstress. In the early years of her three daughters, she sewed lots of their clothing. She even made Joyce's wedding dress. Visits from her family always brought a smile to her face. In years past she had helped her husband with his business as well.
Mrs. Dozier was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur J and Annie Mae Downey McClinton; her husband, Donald M Dozier and her daughter Donna Lynn Dozier. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Wallace (Ron) and Elaine Newburn (Francis deceased); grandchildren Tonya Wallace Booker (Kevin), Brenda Wallace Hammer (Hugh), Christopher J. Newburn (Jordan) and Heather Newburn Donohoo (Gary); great-grandchildren, Abigail Booker, Austin Booker, Alex Hammer, Samantha Hammer, Jade Stevens, Emma Donohoo, Ava Newburn, and Vada Newburn.
A graveside service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL on Friday, June 12, 2020, at 10:00 am where she will be buried next to her husband. They were married for 62 years. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 9:00 am until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
