Beverly Sue Dennis Cleverdon, 59, of Mobile AL, passed away the morning of May 6, 2026. Beverly was born on May 23, 1966 in Mobile, AL but was raised in Natchez, MS. In 1983 she moved to Mobile with her mother and siblings. This is where she met her future husband, John H. Cleverdon, Jr. during band camp the summer before senior year of high school. She graduated from John S. Shaw High School in 1984 and John and Beverly were married in February 1988, three days after John completed Coast Guard basic training. Over the years they traveled to several locations including Kodiak, AK, Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, Mobile, AL, New Orleans, LA and Seattle, WA. While living in Maryland, Beverly worked at several KinderCaredaycares, beginning as a teachers' aide, working her way up to classroom teacher, followed by assistant manager, District Trainer, and the personal assistant to the district manager. In 2014 John retired from the Coast Guard after serving almost 27 years. Beverly is survived by her husband, John H. Cleverdon, her brother Joseph Dennis, and his daughter Jordan Linton (Michael) with their daughter, Emerson Linton. She is also survived by her sister Robbin Dennis with her daughter, Kimberly Dennis. She's also survived by John's siblings JoAnn Yates (Neal), Geoffrey Cleverdon, and Edwin Cleverdon (Amy), along with their children. She loved her pets and working with family photos and genealogy. She spent a lot of time coordinating events for family and friends. She loved reading and could almost always be found with her Kindle in her hand. She was always curious. Her family was the most important thing to her and she would practically bend over backwards to help them. She loved and was loved greatly and will be missed every day!

Beverly's family will celebrate her life by holding a funeral service on Saturday, May 16th at 2:00pm with a graveside service at Mobile Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation prior at the funeral home beginning at 1:00pm.
