Bill N. Layton of Mobile Alabama, born January 2, 1934 passed away February 18, 2022 at the age of 88.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Melba Butler Layton, son, James Alan Layton (Anna) daughters, Lana Cumbaa, (Paul), Lori Crumbley (Ray), two granddaughters, Cherie Delaney(Chris), Audrey Yates (Ben), three grandsons, Alex Layton (Kaitlyn), Cody and Connor Crumbley, two great-grandchildren Wil O'Hara and Alexandria Delaney, sister-in-law, Wanda Layton, Sister, Gail Tucker, nieces, nephew and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Aubrey and Elsie Layton and his beloved brother, Waymon Layton. Bill was self-employed. He started his business, Packaging Supplies in 1969 and continued to work until recently. He was a fan of the New Orleans Saints and Alabama Football. He was always a gentleman who was deeply loved and respected by his family and many others that knew him. He will be greatly missed.

I love you guys so much! Sending ALL my love your way during this heavy time. I only met Mr. Bill once, but in that one interaction I saw love, and the love he had for his wife and family was deep and unconditional. I will always hold this lesson and memory close to my heart.
