Is Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery a VA Cemetery?

As a family member of a deceased veteran, we know the importance of having a designated spot to honor your loved one’s name and their active duty across national services. A VA cemetery is known as the Veterans Affairs, powered by the government. It works with The Department of National Cemetery Administration which maintains a certain number of cemeteries, soldier’s lots and monument sites to those who qualify. Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery has four exclusive sections that are part of the cemetery’s veteran’s benefits program including the South Alabama Veterans Council. Hundreds of families trust in us to provide the same care and dedication when it comes to Veteran burial options and commemorating military Veterans.

Garden of Honor

A national VA cemetery has a limited amount of locations per state making it harder for locals to gain access. Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery understands this need and has since constructed the Garden of Honor. It is limited to honor discharged Veterans, active members of the military and their respected families. The cemetery is committed to bringing you benefits such as burial rights at no cost at an honorable location.

Garden of Heroes

Another location in our cemetery grounds lies the Garden of Heroes to help bring a sense of closeness. It is intended as another designated resting place for community heroes including their families. Veterans, both men and women, are considered heroes who deserve a place of their own to leave their legacy behind.

Valor

Valor is a section in the Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. This beautiful garden honors all of those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. We are proud to honor these men and women in this special garden.

Flags of Glory

Aside from burial options, our cemetery along with the help of the South Alabama Veterans Council comes together in the month of November for a week-long tribute to honor American military personnel. The event begins with a meaningful opening ceremony during the week of Veterans Day along with a drive-through display of the flag of each sponsored veteran or active duty member. Our grounds resonate with community members at a local level while the VA ceremony is more broad on a national level. Both are meant to preserve a Veterans cemetery for the fallen soldiers.

If you have trouble reserving a spot in a VA cemetery location, please contact Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery to choose one of four designated areas for veterans including their families. We offer a cemetery veteran’s benefits program that is similar to that of VA benefits. Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery is conveniently located in the Mobile, AL area.
