Bobby Byrd - Mobile Memorial Gardens

Bobby Gene Byrd, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Wednesday, January 24, 2019 at the age of 88.
He was a member of Fulton Road Baptist Church where he served as an usher; volunteered at the Mobile Infirmary for 12 years; retired from Scott Paper Company after 36 years of service; was a US Air Force Veteran; and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Louis Byrd; his mother, Gertie Belle Jackson Stanford; and his brother, Louis Max Byrd, Sr.
His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Frances Jeanell Horton Byrd; his daughter, Marchele Byrd (Dominic) Burtanog; two sisters, Juanita Byrd VanDevender and Mary Virginia Byrd Neal; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 12 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
