Brenda Sharp Doggett, September 5th, 1948 to December 8th, 2023. She was a cherished daughter and wife, beloved sister and aunt, celebrated cousin, and faithful friend
Hayley South, her oldest neice posted, "Aunt Brenda will be missed so much by so many. She never acted her age and was always in trouble! Mardi Gras was her favorite season. She would be at Fat Tuesday from sun up to sun down. She would fight kids over beeds and moon pies, and you would find her in the street trying to collect every last throw. She took me to my first Mardi Gras ball. She had a contagious laugh and the biggest heart. She might say stuff in public she shouldn't but she would give the shirt off of her back. She loved her nieces and nephews as her own and would be there for any of them at the drop of a hat. I will miss our weekly chats, and I'm crushed she won't be in Disney with us next year like we planned."
Brenda retired from KMart in Saraland, attended Murphy High School, Barton Accademy, and Greystone Christian School.
Brenda was proud of her church family at Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church. She found great fellowship and support there.
She is preceded in death by Roger Doggett, her husband of 25 years, and parents Roscoe and Ellie Sharp. She is survived by Linda and Stephen Smith, her sister and brother-in-law; Rodney and Angela Wilkerson, her brother and sister-inlaw; Brian Smith, her nephew; Kimberly and Stephen Ridgeway, her neice and husband; Daphne and Rusty Locklar, her neice and husband; Hayley and Dillon South, her grand neice and husband; Jordan and McKenzie Tillman, her grand neice and husband; Gabriel Smith, her grand nephew; Stephen Ridgeway, her grand nephew; and their children, Brodie Hamilton, Riggs South, Ellie Blake South, and Emory Kate Tillman.
