Calvin Carlis Boshell, a longtime resident of Chickasaw, AL, departed this earth on Monday, December 23, 2019. Born August 14, 1924 in Walker County, AL, Calvin was one of eight children. Calvin attended Walker County High School and enrolled in the University of Alabama Technical/Trade School. A true patriot, he came to Mobile, AL during World War II and worked at the Gulf Shipbuilding Company. After the war, he formed Central Machine Works, and often stated that his customers were the finest people he had ever met. Calvin was a gentleman and a scholar who continued to learn until his death. He was multi-talented and possessed the ability to repair almost any item. An active and faithful member of Chickasaw United Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Spring Hill Senior Golf Association, Chickasaw Masonic Lodge, and Abba Temple Shrine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Carter Boshell; grandson, Michael Boshell; two great-great-grandsons, Brady and Branson Bowden; five sisters and one brother. His survivors include his son, Phillip (Cindy) Boshell; grandson, Phillip Boshell II; granddaughter, Michelle Hasty Waldrop; three great-granddaughters, Kara (Ben) Bowden, Kaitlyn (Kaleb) Knowles, and Kayla Sibley Bush; three great-grandsons, Carter Boshell, Tyler (Haley) Boshell, and Morgan Hales; four great-great- grandchildren, Anniston Knowles, Brayden Boshell, Aria Bush and David Michael Bush; and his sister, Romayne Thompson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 12:00 Noon from Chickasaw United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

A chapel service will be held at 12pm on Thursday, 01/02/2020 from Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
