Camolee Walker

Camolee Dunaway Walker passed away peacefully on May 1, 2019, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was surrounded by those she loved following a lifetime of faithful devotion to her family and friends. She was born in Pike County, Mississippi to Charlie and Julia Dunaway. After high school graduation she moved to Mobile, Alabama where she made her home for the next sixty years. It was in Mobile where she met and married her husband of over fifty years, Jesse Glenn Walker. They were faithful members of Oakdale Baptist Church and Spring Hill Baptist church during their years of living in Mobile. Mountain Brook Baptist Church was their church home after they moved to Birmingham in 2000. During her long and full life she had many friends who she loved and who returned love to her in many ways. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers Joseph, Harvey and Ed Dunaway, and her sister Sue Dunaway Jones. She is survived by her sister Kathryn Dunaway Woodham, her daughter Cynthis Walker Goetz (Jim), her son David Glenn Walker, grandchildren Jason Goetz (Ashley) and David Goetz (Rachel), great-grandchildren Jackson, Addison, Etta and Elizabeth Goetz, and many nieces, nephews and cousin, all of whom she loved with her very large heart. A memorial service will be held at Mountain Brook Baptist Church in Birmingham on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11:00 AM in the church Sanctuary. The family will greet friends following the service in Hudson Hall. There will be a visitation at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street in Mobile, Alabama, on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon. Family and friends will say their earthly goodbyes at a graveside service at Mobile Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Mountain Brook Baptist Church, 3631 Montevallo Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35213, or Heni's Hope International Adoption Fund, P.O. Box 361567 Hoover, Alabama 35236.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Monday, 05/06/2019.
