Carol Allene "MaMa" Godbee a 91 year-old native of Newsight, Alabama and resident of Semmes, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. She retired from Providence hospital after more than 15 years of service, loved sewing and baking, and was a longtime member of Havenwood Baptist Church.
Mrs. Godbee was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, T.L. "Doc" Godbee, and sons, David Lynn Barnett and Stephen Carl Barnett. She is survived by three sons, Donald Wayne Barnett (Sharon), Ken Barnett (Suwan), and Scott Godbee (Melanie Baker); daughter - in - law , Mary Sue Barnett-Shuler, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from Havenwood Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
