Carolyn Cowart Hendrix was a native of Lasca, Alabama. She was born on May 28, 1942. She was a lifelong resident of Mobile and passed away on August 10, 2019. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dollie Dunn Cowart and her father, Leon Joseph Cowart. She was also preceded by her husband William Shelton Hendrix.She is survived by her sons: K. Paul Hendrix of Mobile, S. Scott Hendrix (Teresa) of Cantonement, Fl and J. Thad Hendrix of Mobile. She is also survived by her Sister, Judy Cowart Johnson of Atlanta, Ga and her brother Donald Joseph Cowart (Anne) of Mobile and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the owner of The Flower Shop florist, a past president of the South Alabama Florist Association and a long time employee of Belle Bouquet florist in Saraland, AL. She was supported and uplifted by her loving church family for many years at West Mobile Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to West Mobile Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
