Catherine Janice Ewest Fields of Mobile, AL passed away peacefully on August 19,2020.She is preceded in death by her parents Anthony Robertus and Mary Edwina Wahl Ewest; husband James Lewis Fields, step daughter Margaret Lyles, and 6 siblings. She is survived by her husband Johnnie Frank Fields; Children Jennifer Chastang (Timothy); Catherine Blache (Frederick); Theresa Wright (Phillip); James Fields (Michelle); stepdaughter Johnnie Shiver (David); her sister Ann Kotis; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Bishop Toolen High School, Providence School of Nursing, and received a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Ottawa University. She was a loving wife and mother and a caring nurse. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she played the Q-Chord for Sunday services. She was an active member of the 50+ Club of Belle Fontaine. She enjoyed sewing, needlework, traveling, cooking, and music. Services will be held Monday, August 24th at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Belle Fontaine, AL. Visitation at 11 am and Mass at 12 noon. Graveside service and internment following at Mobile Memorial Gardens.

A chapel service will be held at pm on Monday, 08/24/2020 from St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Belle Fontaine, AL, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
