Charlie was born in Montgomery, AL in 1946. He was adopted by Dr. Charles Golden Hagan and Willie Mae Hagan who raised him as their son. For 53 years, He enjoyed the company of his wife Ruth. They have one son, Charles and a daughter-in-law, Julienne. Over the years, there were several furry friends; Scottie, Missy and Prissy, Sam and Samantha, Ziggy, Wulfe and Annabel. A lifelong resident of southern Alabama, a graduate of Murphy High School & Bishop State with a degree in Drafting - in his early days, he was part of the team that designed the I-10 Bayway and several other bridges across the southeast. His long career in industrial piping design afforded him many opportunities to work with and enjoy the presence of some great minds. He was a part of several large projects over his work life. He spent time at local plants such as Degussa, International Paper, Olin, and Chevron, he also contributed design elements to projects in places as far away as Siberia., Sr. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 3:00pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at 3:30pm in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
