Chessie Glyn Murphy DeHart, 74, of Robertsdale, Alabama, went to be with our Lord Thursday, October 29, 2020. Born July 16, 1946 in Philadelphia, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Joe Wilson Murphy and the late Mary Land Murphy. Chessie was married to the late Ernest Gene DeHart. She is survived by her loving sister, Patricia Blanchard; step-children Lorraine DeHart; Deborah (Mike) Brost, Brandi (James) Wood, Candi DeHart, 2 nieces, Anna Summersell (Keith), and Shannon Davidson, 3 nieces, 3 nephews,14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great nephews and 2 great-great nieces. In addition to her parents and husband, Chessie was preceded in death by her older sister, Joanna Murphy Stoker, her niece Mary Loreene Dickson, her nephew Michael Land Davidson, her nephew Sean Phillip Blanchard, step-son, Michael (Lorraine) DeHart, step-daughter Tonya (Ricky)Blaine and Kathy (Tony) Heathco. A graduate of Davidson High School and Jefferson Davis Community College, she held an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Chessie enjoyed her computer, television and playing with her sweet babies. Chessie’s, graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 2pm in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 1pm until service time.
