Claudine Skelton Littlepage

November 4, 1927 — October 27, 2024
Claudine Skelton Littlepage was born November 4th, 1927 and passed on October 27th, 2024. On a beautiful Sunday morning, surrounded by her family, Claudine went to Paradise to join her husband, John Henry, who passed away in 2016. They were married seventy years, seven months, and fifteen days and were childhood sweethearts. Claudine was born in Sunshine, Alabama, which was evident in her personality. She brightened the lives of all those who knew her. She retired from a nursing career with Dr. L.L. Brown and was a helpmate with John's service station business in Prichard for many years. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Ben and Willie Skelton; brothers, Charlie, William, and J.T.; and sisters Ella Snow, Fannie Allen Crenshaw, Sarah Carlisle Majors, and Annie B. Rouse. She is survived by; her daughter, Vicki Littlepage, and many nieces and nephews. She loved her family and friends with an unmeasurable passion. Although she lost her sight in the late 1990's, she never lost her sweet spirit. Claudine joined Shiloh Baptist Church in 1953 when the family moved to Saraland. She taught 4-year-old Sunday School for 25 years. She and her sister, Annie B., had an active ministry visiting nursing homes, bringing a little cheer to those who needed it most. The family thanks Gentiva Hospice Service for the excellent care they have provided over the past year. Shelia Mears has been a compassionate and loving caregiver for Claudine for over three years and remains a dear friend to the family. Visitation will be held Friday, November 1st, at 10 A.M., followed by a celebration of life service at 11 A.M. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
