Mr. Clyde Collier Alford, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Mr. Alford is preceded in death by his parents, Willie W. and Annie L. Alford, sister, Eldera Richardson, brother, John Alford and great-granddaughter, Madison A. Alford. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel G. Alford and his second wife, Carolyn G. Alford. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army where he served in the infantry as a surveyor. He retired from International Paper Company after over 40 years of service as a control room manager. He was born in Bluff City, Arkansas and was a longtime resident of Eight Mile and for the last 19 years, a resident of Mobile. He is survived by his dear companion, Lois Bozeman, children; Allen Alford (Karen), Sherry Shreves (Orin), Frank Nettles (Vickie), Jan Dickinson, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his longtime friend, Dennis Loper. Visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00pm. Interment will follow. Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Nettles, Jonathan Nettles, Bobby Howle, Jarrod Black, Greg Cowart and Jerry Thomas.

A chapel service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, 09/16/2020 from Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
