Clyde Copeland

November 12, 2020
On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, Clyde D. (Jack) Copeland, loving husband, and father of two, departed this earth at the age of 72. Jack was born in Jackson, AL on August 1, 1948 to Millie L. Phillips and Tim J. Copeland. He proudly served his country in the Army, and then went on to serve his community through various occupations and volunteer work until he retired. Jack was married to Donna Copeland for 35 years, and they had two adoring sons, Kevin and Adam. Jack is well known for his passion for storytelling, music, and working with his hands. Jack’s life exemplifies perfect harmony of spirit, love, creativity, with a dash of whimsical pranks. His natural ability to draw attention, and light up the room, paralleled his unique gift for bringing family and loved ones together. His essence, in contrast to life, nature, and family, coexisted harmoniously in a manner that could be witnessed as awe inspiring. Jack was always able to move his personal suffering aside, and cater to the needs of others, as if every heart touched contributed to his own healing. His life is a monumental example of family heritage, spirituality, laughter, passion, and sentiment. He was a collector of objects he deemed valuable, further solidifying the extent of his nature to appreciate and cherish. Jacks life and legacy will persist as a beacon of light amidst his family and the people that were lucky enough to witness his symbolic presence. In honor of his life, may we extract the parable of love, and incorporate his childlike qualities within our own lives, so that we may carry on the message of angels. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
