Cynthia Elizabeth Wilkinson Shaw, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Artie Mae Wilkinson, and by her beloved husband, James Douglas Shaw. Cynthia is survived by her four children; Deborah (Alan) McDonald, Douglas Shaw, Sr., Dennis (Amy) Shaw and Angela (Peter) Schuchardt, her eight grandchildren; Kelley (Chad) Ryals, Ashley (Chris) Humpal, Amanda (Matt) Sluder, Douglas Shaw, Jr., Mary (Michael) Rogers, James Schuchardt, Sarah Alice Shaw and Rebekah Shaw, her five great-grandchildren; Alex Sluder, Jackson Humpal, Wyatt Humpal, Elizabeth Rogers and Magnus Rogers, her brother; William (Patsy) Wilkinson, Jr., her sisters-in-law; Sue Pitt, Patty (Paul) Burch and Kay Shaw, her brother-in-law; Harry Shaw, honorary granddaughter; Lacy Garrett and a host of other family and friends.
Cynthia was a long-time member of South Brookley United Methodist Church. She was dedicated to her family and a wonderful friend to many. James and Cynthia were married 53 years and we rejoice that they are reunited!
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the service time. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to South Brookley United Methodist Church, 3755 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL 36605.

A chapel service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, 06/19/2019 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
