Don Louis Blackmon, age 86, of Wilmer, Alabama, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020, at Providence Hospital.
Don loved the outdoors and spent most of his working years working outside. He had many talents including building things. He even built the home he was living in when he passed away. Don enjoyed fishing and playing with his dogs, but his heart belonged to his family. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all his heart, and he will be sorely missed by them all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Faye Blackmon; sons, Freddie Lamar Blackmon and Don Arnold "Scoot" Blackmon; grandson, David Miller; great-grandsons, Justin Blackmon and Jesse Parker; and parents, Lamar Louis and Ruth Blackmon.
Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Cash; step-daughter, Alice Miller; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 20, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A chapel service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, 02/20/2020 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
