Doris Seibert McCane, a lifelong resident of Mobile, Al., died Sunday, July 21, 2019, at the age of 88.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to tirelessly serving her family with love and affection. She also worked in administration for the Mobile Housing Board, retiring in her seventies.
Doris was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church of Mobile and a 1948 graduate of Murphy High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, George A. McCane, her parents, William E. Seibert, Sr. and Mary Inez Seibert, and her brother, William E Seibert, Jr.
Doris is survived by her three children, George A. McCane, III (Kathi), Robin M. Aycock (William), and Randall S. McCane, as well as
six grandchildren, Adam C. McCane, Hanna M. Ratliff, Todd M. Aycock, Shelley N. Barrett, Randi P. McCane and Karli M. McCane and 13 great-grandchildren, Hudson, Landry, Woods, Walker, Rhodes and Cotton Ratliff; GeorgiaLayne McCane; Noah, Lucy, and Annie Barrett; Adalynn Monte; Charlotte and Maisy Aycock.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

A chapel service will be held at 10am on Thursday, 07/25/2019 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
