Doris “Cookie” Manning, age 74, a member of Woodridge Baptist Church of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on January 25, 2022. Doris was born in Charleston, South Carolina while her father, a WW2 vet, was stationed there, but raised in Pascagoula, Mississippi by her parents, Owen and Doris Waters. She never met a stranger and loved to laugh. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; and beloved brother, Owen “Bubba” Waters. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Manning; children, Katrina (Alvin) Lyons, Michael Manning, Lisa (Mark) Jordan, Tanya (Jeff) Talbott, and Crystal (Heath) Pierce; grandchildren, Alvin “A.J.” Lyons, Brianna Manning, Jonathan Manning, Cheyenne Bryars, Nicholas Bryars, Abigail (Bryan) Flynn, Merly (Nickolas) Rodgers, and Jeffrey Talbott; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Rogers and Damian Rogers; brothers, Wayne Waters and Anthony “Tony” Waters; other relatives, and friends.

Visitation held on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 10:30 AM-12 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by service at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
