February 2, 1940 — January 17, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who met her Savior in Glory on Friday, January 17, at the age of 84. She was born on February 2, 1940 in Mississippi but a long-time resident of Semmes, Alabama. She was a homemaker until her children grew up and left home and then worked for the Mobile County Public School System in the Cafeteria until she retired. She has been a long-time member of Crawford Baptist Church and was a faithful servant unto the Lord.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Ray and Lucille Franklin, husband, Lee V. Greer, and son-in-law, Terry Johnston. She is survived by her loving children, Robert (Denise) Greer, Laura Johnston, Daniel (Dianne) Greer and Tina Justice. Grandmother is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Rebecca (Kenny) McIlwain, David (Crystal) Greer, Colby (Raquel) Greer, Andrea (Tony) Ebright, Melonie (Kyle) Martin, Sarah Smith, Danielle (Ben) Riley, Daleigh (Brandon) Weaver, Michaela Justice and Jarrett (Michaela) Justice along with her great grandchildren, Mikayla Burns, Alexandrea McIlwain, Ryleigh McIlwain, Dylan Butts, Aiylah Greer, Jackson Greer, Taylor Martin, Braxton Martin, Ella Martin, Jameston Smith, Mack Smith, Gracelyn Riley, Gavin Riley, Emmy Riley, Iveigh Weaver and Tatum Weaver. The family extends their sincere appreciation to Ms. Francies Boykin and Ms. Darlene Hobdy of Loving Hand’s Elder Care, Saad’s Healthcare/Hospice Care along with Ms. Oma Dobbs for their compassionate care throughout her illness.

Friends are invited to a Visitation which will take place on Friday, January 24th at 1 pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2 pm at Crawford Baptist Church, located at 3000 Sun Valley Drive, Mobile. The Interment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens, located at 6100 Three Notch Road, Mobile, following the service. The family appreciates your prayers during this time.
