Dorothy Lee “Dot” Huller Stroecker started her journey into eternal life on Monday, August 30, 2021, as she passed away peacefully at home. Dot was born in Decatur, AL on January 4, 1932. She moved to Mobile at the age of 3 and remained as a resident. She attended Barton Academy and was a graduate of Murphy High School in 1949, where she was voted as a Class Favorite. She continued to be active with the Class Reunions until the last couple of years. In high school, she was a member and officer in Phi Gamma Chi Sorority and later became a Sorority Mother, during the time her daughter was a member and officer. She attended Huffstetler Business College after graduation and began working at American National Bank. She married Arnold W. Stroecker, Jr on February 27, 1954 and then became a devoted wife, Mother and super-volunteer before entering back in the workforce. She was a faithful member of St Pius X Parish in Mobile for 62 years. She was very involved in the Church and School, where her children attended. Dot returned back to work in 1973 and was employed by Morrison/Ruby Tuesday Inc in the corporate office for 26 years, She later became Executive Secretary for Arthur R Outlaw for 22 years until retirement, along with other executives. She was a member of Executive Women International (EWI,) during that time. Upon retirement, she attended Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for 10 years and was a member of Assistance League Mobile, active in community service for almost 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Guy and Audrey Belle Smith Huller and her brother, Charles K. Huller. She is survived by three children, David W (Vicki) Stroecker and Lee Anne Stroecker of Mobile, Kenneth (Cindy) Stroecker of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren, Katie (Michael) Pilkerton of Vestavia Hills, AL, Sarah (Matt) Pickard of Charleston, S.C. and Audrey Stroecker of Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by step grandchildren, Katie (Adam) Kressel of Montclair, N.J. and Micki (Ross) Kerwin of Hoboken N.J. She was preceded in death by her step-granddaughter, Cierra Otto. Dot is also survived by great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Dot had a deep devotion and loyalty to her faith, family and friends, which was unwavering. She was loving, kind, thoughtful and humble. Dot often was described as a people person and that was her favorite hobby. She held a treasure chest full of countless friends, young and old, from all seasons of her life.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at in the Sarto Center at St Pius X Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday from St. Pius X Catholic Church followed by interment at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
